First goal for ferry came after good work from Kris Sleight and Danny Middleton who gave a quality pass to Shane Limbert who put ferry one up. In the second half ferry played there normal passing and moving football and with Jack Painter And Shane Limbert playing well down the left together ferry won a penalty when Limbert was fouled in pollingtons penelty area. The last word came from Anderson who scored a 20 yard free kick.

POLLINGTON 0 FERRYBRIDGE 8
Following last weeks second league defeat Ferry returned to winning ways in the League Cup.Following an early injury to influential defender Craig Branford, Ferry held firm to lead at half-time 2-0 through goals from skipper Bradley Richardson and Parents’ MOM Sam Peatfield. With Branford returning after half-time and a switch to midfield for Manager’s MOM Kieran Baker, Ferry took a strangle hold on the game. With both full backs Oliver Heaton and Thomas Graham pushing forward, Ferry increased their lead through strikers Conor McCluskey and Saia Halafihi. Hard working Evan Tyson scored with a thunderous 25 yard drive and the ever influential Baker scored two, the second a fine individual piece of skill and finish. Elliot Jamieson was a constant threat with his crosses from the right setting up McCluskey for his second with a header, defender Callum Marshall and keeper Matthew Shay snuffed out any chance of Pollington getting a foot hold in the game.

Ferrybridge 8 Normanton 0
Another cold & wet Sunday morning saw Ferrybridge travel to local rivals Normanton, the day got underway with both teams holding a minutes silence in memory of so many that have given everything for their country. Ferry continued where they left off last week against Upton with excellent passing and movement on what was a very heavy pitch, Paul English had little to do in goal with Josh Mosby and Jae Priest in their usual fine form at the back giving nothing away, another solid performance from ferry’s midfield trio Oliver Scales, Joe Wilson and James Ford saw them battle for every ball not allowing Normanton time to settle, the excellent movement of Harry Blackburn and Henry Mitchell up front allowed them both to bag neatly taken hatricks.
Goals: Blackburn(3), Mitchell(3), Ford(1), Wilson(1)

This was one way traffic from start to finish with all the ferry lads playing well as a unit. Ferry keeper Tom Passmore was a spectator for most of the game with the odd backpass to cope with. Back line of Jack Mclean, Scott Brown, Conor Fergeson and Brandon Watson were in controll for all the match. Midfielders Kris Sleight, Danny Middleton, Luke Nadin and Jordan Hutchinson were playing good one touch football and always pushing forward. Front men Andy Plummer and the impressive Rob Anderson worked hard for the team Sam Mclean had a good game when he came on in the midfield and Jack Painter always caused problems out wide. Ferry scored quality goals in this match and it was a very impressive team performance from Ferrybridge. Goals by:- ROB ANDERSON X 5, JORDON HUTCHINSON X 3, KRIS SLEIGHT X 2, JACK PAINTER X 2, LUKE NADIN X 1, BRANDON WATSON X 1, ANDY PLUMMER X 1, DANNY MIDDLETON X 1.

 | Ferrybridge 3 Pontefract 0
Ferrybridge played Pontefract in this local derby and came away with all three points. In the first few minutes pontefract gave ferry a scare when they broke clear down the left and had there shot cleared of the line from classy centrehalf Scott Brown. After the early scare ferry dominated throughout but could not find away past Ponte`s keeper who made a string of fine saves from Danny Middleton and Rob Anderson. After 20 minutes ferry broke the deadlock with a fine strike from a close range free kick from Danny Middleton and it was not long after that Sam Mclean came of the bench to score ferry`s second. Ferry had chances to score a third before half time but Ponty`s defence held out. In the second half Ponte had a long range effort just go the wrong side of the post but from then on ferry had enough chances to finish the game off with Kris Slieght and Andy Plummer having shots saved. Jack Painter worked well down the right and Brandon Watson defended well in the second half, Jack Mclean broke clear down the right and pulled inside but the final shot just went over the bar. Keeper Tom Passmore had a quite game but when he was called on he coped well. Conor Ferguson and the very impressive Scott Brown were always in control at the centre of ferrys back line. Luke Nadin had good touches in the midfield for ferry and worked well with Danny Midleton. Front man Jordon Hutchinson started well but had to be taken off after picking up a knee injury Good to see Ben Bradleys return to ferry after being out for four weeks through injury. Also praise to the pontefract lads after they gave a battling display.

Ferrybridge 1 Upton United 0
Ferrybridge travelled to Upton in this week’s round of the Charles rice league, in atrocious weather conditions ferry came out on top in this local derby. The lads battled hard all game as the weather got worse, midway through the second half saw good work from James Ford put in Henry Mitchell to smash the ball home giving ferry a well deserved lead going into half time, Ferry continued where they left off in the second half, Paul English, Jae Priest and Josh Mosby kept Upton at bay as they pushed for an equaliser, James Ford, Oliver Scales, Joe Wilson and Harry Blackburn were immense in midfield, with the reliable Henry Mitchell leading the line, Ferry pushed forward with Ford who slipped in Scales for him to smash the ball into the top corner only for what can be described as a controversial referring decision that neither side could understand the goal was chalked off after hitting the back of the net for ‘yes’ a Ferry free kick.
Goals: Mitchell (1)
