Under 8's Vs. South Kirby Knights
Ferrybridge Under 8's came out winners in their 1st friendly of the new campaign away to South Kirby Knights, the whole team played great back to front with everyone getting a run out. Henry Mitchell made his ferry debut in what was an excellent display of passing from the whole team, an absolute masterclass at times.
Squad: Paul English, Declan Baker, Josh Mosby, James Allen, Jae Priest, Oliver Scales, James Ford, Harry Blackburn, Thomas Lynam, Jack Lynam and Henry Mitchell.

UNDER 12's NEW SEASON
The start of our third league season has soon come round and I would like to welcome new squad members’ and their families’ to the club. I would like to welcome Saia Halafihi, Oliver Heaton, Callum Marshall and Luke Sawden.Saia and Oliver we were impressed with their performances for Ulleskelf and Selby Olympia respectively last season against us. Callum we have seen play at numerous galas for Rothwell Juniors and Luke rejoins us after a season at Selby OlympiaWe have managed to retain the bulk of last season’s highly successful team but unfortunately Jordan, Alex, Connor and Liam have decided to look elsewhere for more playing time. The addition of the new lads I hope will now give us more of a squad set-up and enable us to rotate players’ to greater effect, with the demands of high school activities, some of the lads training and playing twice a week, we believed we needed greater strength in depth and hopefully we will achieve this.New teams from Pollington, Methley and Brayton have entered the division and no doubt our opposition from last season will all have added new players’ and will be fired up to try and overhaul us this season. As usual I am sure players’ and parents’ alike will make everyone welcome.

Following on from their success in the Ackworth gala ferrybridge U8 won the hemsworth terriers Gala. They left their best performance for the final to beat Mexborough 4-0. The squad was Jordan Waddington in goals, Ty Bryer. Danny Hall ,George Copeland, Jack Fenton, Morgan Tucker. Goals came from midfield duo Josh Powell(3) and Callum McLelland(7).
Ferrybridge dominated the game from start to finish, despite controlling the possession they went into the break with only a 1-0 lead, a goal scored by striker Kieran Baker. After the break Ferry were straight back into the game Conor McCluskey grabbed the second and skipper Bradley Richardson converted the third. Ward Green responded with a goal from a corner which Ferry failed to clear. Again a positive response saw Conor McCluskey grab another three goals before the final whistle. The squad of Matthew Shay, Thomas Graham, Craig Branford, Oliver Bloxham, Luke Kennedy, Sam Peatfield, Bradley Richardson, Evan Tyson, Elliot Jamieson, Kieran Baker, Conor McCluskey and Connor Beasley can be rightly proud of their efforts and the magnificant football they played.
